DR. BROTHERTON'S OTHER, OTHER JOB
As if being an orthopedic surgeon, Sunday school teacher, and TMA president doesn’t keep him busy enough, Steve Brotherton, MD, spent most of last week at his other, other job: serving on the American Medical Association’s Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA). The nine-member council is responsible for maintaining and updating the 165-year-old AMA Code of Medical Ethics, and for setting ethical and professional standards for American physicians.
