NEUROLOGIST PICKED AS INAUGURAL DEAN OF AUSTIN MEDICAL SCHOOL
Come March 1, there’ll be a new dean in town. Clay Johnston, MD, is the inaugural dean of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Johnston is associate vice chancellor of research at the University of California, San Francisco. He is a practicing neurologist who specializes in preventing and treating stroke. He will begin March 1 at the Dell Medical School, which plans to enroll its first class of students in fall 2016. Good luck, Dr. Johnston, and welcome to Texas. We look forward to a great relationship as you get that new school rolling.
