Remind your colleagues that TMA fought at the Texas Legislature to make sure physicians could exclude payments from Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs from their taxable revenue. You also can deduct the costs of uncompensated care. And we worked overtime with Comptroller Susan Combs’ office to make sure the tax rules preserved those important protections for physicians and patients.
