TMA-member physician John Carlo, MD, sat before the Texas House committees on Public Health and on Defense Affairs and State-Federal Relations to discuss the state’s ability to respond to a public health emergency. Dr. Carlo is the medical director of the Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services and the guest editor of the recent Texas Medicine symposium issue on pandemic influenza.
